Washing their faces twice a day could be beneficial for certain people, particularly those with oily or acne-prone skin.
According to Stull, washing your face in the morning "can help remove excess sebum and dead skin cells, which can clog the pores." "It’s also a good way to get rid of residue from skincare products, including petroleum, waxes, butters, and heavy oils," she explained.
Although some people's skin benefits from washing their face first thing in the morning, it's not a requirement for everyone.

According to Stull, cleaning twice a day might be too drying for those with inflammatory skin conditions including eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis.
"It's crucial to avoid going overboard," she said. "The skin barrier function can be compromised by depriving the skin of its natural lipids produced overnight, leaving the skin more prone to irritation."
